This is the outrageous phenomenon that is personal development — we cannot achieve true personal development until we surround ourselves with others who will push us to our highest potential. We need others. Yet, even if others are the only people you want to focus on, and you are truly that selfless, you still need to work on yourself first to best help them. That is the paradox of personal development.
