I was having a conversation about the “just do it” in regard to a friend’s fear of flying the other day. I was trying to get to the root of the problem and morbidly enough, it was just that he was afraid of dying.

So I asked if he was afraid of driving in a car. He said he is in control of the car.

I said how about a taxi. He said I guess you’re right.

The reason why he doesn’t fear getting in a cab, something more dangerous statistically than flying, is because it is something he has done so many times.

If he flew every single day and only got in a taxi once ever, the tables may be turned.

Do you think if you were to do the thing you feared more often, it would slowly become a non-issue?
