I actually took a corporate job in the restaurant industry because I was a huge foodie and wanted to open restaurants later in life. I very quickly learned that my love for food did not translate over to serving it to others!
However, I wrote a book and quit that job, and am now doing something that I am passionate about as well, which I love more and more each day.
As you mentioned, no definitive answer, but rather it is worth it to yourself to give it a try and see what works best!
