Hey Terry, thanks for reading (mostly) and responding!

In regard to the word “imminent” this may not be the best choice. Do you have any recommendations? I’m looking for a word that means “most likely going to happen” so would love to hear your thoughts.

I am sorry that you stopped reading after, “writers need to be taken down off their pedestal”. As you mention, this is not a universal statement, not everybody is the same, and there is not something that can be said about every single writer.

This may not appeal to everybody, but in the context of the piece, having received multiple positive reviews, a writer may feel as if he or she is on a pedestal for the short time being. This is by no means intended as an insult, and apologies if it came off that way.

You may not be on a pedestal, but do you not feel on top of the world when others compliment and write rave reviews about your writing, even just for a moment? If yes, then wouldn’t you like somebody else to offer a recommendation for improvement so that you can get back to work? If no, then you have mastered positive praise much better than most!
