Ha! So glad you asked. I borrowed this one from Tim Ferriss and a professor of mine at Kellogg, Dr. Nicholas Pearce.

There are actually 3 advantages to this exercise:

  1. Vulnerability — You’re putting yourself out there, unafraid of rejection, and doing something out of the ordinary right when you wake up.
  2. Creativity — Finding contact information and actually being able to get a response from these people will take a lot of clever navigation on the internet, using different connections, different means of social media, etc. and being able to add value and offer something in return!
  3. Excitement — Hopefully you do get a response and set up a phone call or something, then this is all the more worth it!

Seems like a strange recommendation at first, but it is actually one of my favorites!
